Non-Objects Portfolio: This portfolio contains preliminary concepts for large scale public projects that require funding and a team for construction.
This portfolio contains a collection visual response to the treatment of immigrant children and their care while in the custody our government. During the past decade human rights are not being upheld by those entrusted with the care of these children. The work is made as a monument acknowledging the wrong doings and a marker to move forward to protect the children and by doing so, protect our nation’s future.
This work was created by the artist who feels an overwhelming reaction is to protect the children and create a positive experience. The large white sculpture, For the Children is approximately 20 ft. tall are intended to be interactive and have light sensors encircling them to change the color of the sculpture by touch. The work has rock climbing grasps and a soft material base for falls. Staggered between the imbedded colored light sensors, four drinking waterspouts are imbedded in the ground around the sculpture.
The sculpture, “For or the Children, Herald” will have drinking fountain spouts and may be climbed on.
