This series, Periphery 1-10, is representative of my current direction in my painting practice. In this series of paintings, I am working with the idea of human predictive coding, a neurological phenomena that triggers our brains into creating an image from abstract forms and color. I consider the paintings to be highly interactive with the viewer.

Vomeronasal Tale  begins by selectively arranging synesthetic sound forms and colors to create a new environment, place, or dreamscape. This particular painting depicts a visual idea relating an organ involved detecting pheromones to the “third eye,” a term used in esoteric concept usually held responsible for high intuition.
